NASCAR on TV

A high-profile television package has made NASCAR a breakout player on the national stage. As the number-two sport on television, NASCAR puts sponsors in the national spotlight with millions of viewers, ten months a year. With partners including FOX, FX, FOX Sports Net, NBC and TNT, NASCAR is available in virtually every home in America. And its partnership with SPEED Channel, a racing-focused cable network reaching 65 million homes, gives NASCAR targeted access to the most passionate fans.

The Hollywood Hotel, NASCAR's portable broadcast studio

In 2003, over 280 million total viewers watched NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series races, making NASCAR the most-watched sport on 17 different weekends (almost one in three). Nationally, key markets like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago out-deliver “traditional” racing markets like Charlotte, Indianapolis and Dallas. And the NASCAR Busch Series has solidified its standing as the number-two motorsport in the US, with over 63 million total viewers in 2003.

NASCAR TV on SPEED Channel

NASCAR TV on SPEED Channel is a unique “channel-within-a-channel” that reaches more than 65 million cable and satellite customers nationwide. Each day, NASCAR TV features a variety of original NASCAR programming, including race rebroadcasts, live qualifying and practice sessions, news programs and much more. It’s also the exclusive home for all NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events and Trackside Live, a 60-minute, live-audience show broadcast from each NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series event location on Friday evenings.

NASCAR IN CAR

NASCAR IN CAR is a two-time Emmy® Award-winning subscription service available on digital cable that offers fans seven channels of in-car cameras with live audio and real-time, in-car performance data shown on “virtual dashboards.” Available during all 36 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series events, NASCAR IN CAR allows viewers to experience races from the driver’s perspective at any point during the race.

HDNet, high definition TV

HDNet is the nation's leading high-definition broadcast service, providing content to the largest cable and satellite companies in the country. In 2004, HDNet will feature 18 live events in the NASCAR Grand National Division, with more than 40 live event broadcasts already scheduled over the '05 and '06 seasons.

The constant presence of NASCAR on television reinforces the strong role it plays in its fans’ lives. Because it’s always front-and-center to the fans, NASCAR maintains a consistent top-of-mind awareness with core consumers that no other sport enjoys. Contact us to reach a sales agent.
