The San Diego Crew Classic is
a 501(c)(3) organization that annually attracts 3,400 competitors and 15,000
spectators. However, the emphasis of the event is always on quality, not
quantity. Athletes range in ages from 14 to 80 and both the rowers and
spectators are well educated and successful with considerably higher than
normal personal demographics.
The bulk of the competitors
are comprised of college rowers, ages 18-23, representing approximately 125
schools across the Country in 29 States. These motivated students are poised
to achieve and utilize resources well.
Our venue on Crown Point
Shores in Mission Bay is transformed over the two-day regatta into a highly
festive area with an abundance of white tents, concessions, vendors and
entertainment.
Sponsorships may include
prominently located vendor booths for sampling and selling, signage, PA
announcements, advertisements, trophy presentations, and great hospitality.
Another exciting marketing vehicle is the banner advertising for the 20'x
25' Jumbotron television set hi the middle of the venue. Everyone looks at
the Jumbotron. It shows the start of the races 2,000 meters down the course
and is visual cue of the overall schedule of events.
